Currently working at needl.ai, Girish is one of the core engineers who joined in the early days of the product. He is responsible for creating and developing the frontend of the product from scratch using React, and also architecting the frontend and taking part in key decisions regarding the webserver. Girish collaborates with the product team and comes up with the best solution possible for the requirements. Previously, Girish worked as a System Engineer at TCS where he migrated the entire code base from Angular 4 to Angular 7. He refactored code, made sure everything was typed and followed TypeScript best practices, introduced strong TypeScript configuration, introduced ESLint, gave multiple talks educating the team about TypeScript, and helped them to get used to strongly typing their code. Girish also reduced a lot of boilerplate code and state management by making use of dependency injection and RxJS. He introduced component-based code splitting and lazy loading, and migrated the styling system from Bootstrap to Angular Material. Girish also created reusable custom components for Angular Forms, worked with D3.js to create various reusable chart components for the dashboard, and worked on multiple business deliverables and delivered within the stipulated time. Girish holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy.
